A First Birthday Party Photography Session could be the most popular photo shoot there is — I know it’s something all my new moms and dads love!
And, when you add-on cake smash photos, it’s just too cute! The fun and smiles grow exponentially!
Your First Birthday/Cake Smash Session can be shot in studio or on location. You can bring balloons, the birthday baby’s name spelled out on a birthday banner or any ideas you can think of. Depending on the shoot, there is generally enough time for one or two outfit changes.
I focus on shots of the birthday baby primarily, but I also get a few small family shots during the festivities.

Booking Your Session
Booking your First Birthday/Cake Smash Session is easy! I have three options for you:
- Complete my Book Your Session Form, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours to confirm your details.
- Send an email to: krichardsphotography@gmail.com. Please provide your name and phone number, along with your preferred session date(s) with the subject: “First Birthday/Cake Smash Session“, and we’ll coordinate!
- Call me at 832-472-2106, I’d love to chat about your senior photos!
Your Session Payment
Your First Birthday/Cake Smash Session payment is due prior to your scheduled shoot in order to secure your preferred date and time.
Scheduling Your Session
My schedule fills quickly so please contact me for scheduling three to four weeks in advance of your desired session date.
Prints & Photographic Products
Photographic prints and other printed photographic products are not included in your session fee. If you would like to purchase prints, canvases, photo books, or other professionally printed photographic products, please review my Print Product Pricing for details.

How long will it take?
You can plan on 1 hour for each session.
After Your Portrait Session
When will you see your images?
Your images will be ready to view within 3 weeks of your session. I will post some of my favorites on my Facebook page. I will send you an email letting you know that your images are posted. I’ll also include a link to a gallery where all of your images will be posted. An additional email will be sent giving you more details on how to order your prints and products.
Are the Facebook images copyrighted?
Yes. All images that are posted online, whether it’s Facebook, my blog or website, or your online gallery, are all watermarked and copyrighted. I do give permission for you to use a photo for your profile picture, but please do not remove the watermark. Thank you!
When will my prints and products be ready?
Upon receiving payment, I will place the order for your prints and products. Your order will be available for pick up within 3 weeks of payment. Enjoy!
