Time Goes By SO Quickly — It’s Always Time For Photos Of Your Kids!
I’m a children’s photographer, but I’m a mom first, so I know just how important great portraits of your children are.
Casual snapshots are just fine for spontaneous, everyday shots, but there is nothing you’ll love more than professional portraits of your children to capture just who they are right now — whether it’s hanging on your wall in a beautiful framed print or canvas, or part of a keepsake album or photo book, professionally produced images are heirlooms you will always cherish.
My goal is to creatively capture the personality of your children and everything that makes them unique. To make the process easier, I’ve included all the details about what to expect from your Children’s Portrait Sessions here. Booking Your Session
Booking your Children’s Portrait Session is easy! I have three options for you:
- Complete my Book Your Session Form, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours to confirm your details.
- Send an email to: krichardsphotography@gmail.com. Please provide your name and phone number, along with your preferred session date(s) with the subject: “Children’s Portrait Session“, and we’ll coordinate!
- Call me at 832-472-2106, I’d love to chat about your senior photos!
Your Session Payment
Your session payment is due prior to the session in order to hold your day and time.
Scheduling Your Session
My schedule fills quickly, so be sure to contact me several weeks in advance of your desired date to secure the best day for you.
Prints & Photographic Products
Photographic prints and other printed photographic products are not included in your session fee. If you would like to purchase prints, canvases, photo books, or other professionally created photographic products, please review my Print Product Pricing for details.
What To Wear
My best advice is to grab the cutest outfit in your child’s closet, the outfits you hear the most compliments on, or the choices your children are most comfortable and feel great in. Or — simply go shopping to find something new and adorable!
Feel free to bring one or two clothing changes. Before we start your session, we can talk about what clothing you brought and which choices look best in different settings. And remember, the number of clothing changes does affect our shooting time.
Also, depending on age, it may be best to bring the kids to your session dressed in their everyday, comfortable clothes and then change them just before the shoot starts to avoid food or anything else getting on their adorable outfits before their portraits have been taken.
What About Locations?
Your own home, where your kids are most comfortable and “themselves” is an ideal choice for a children’s portrait session. Or, a location that has special meaning to your family is also a great idea. Maybe a favorite park — a place that you and your kids just love to go. I can also provide plenty of location options depending on the look you’re after. Let’s discuss the possibilities!

What To Expect
How long will it take?
You can plan on 1 hour for a Children’s Portrait session.
What will we do?
When we meet at our location, we’ll chat a bit about some ideas you may have, some ideas I have, and other important details. You may be nervous, but you really don’t have to be. I’m very easy to get along with and will make you comfortable soon enough. We’ll walk around a bit to different parts of the location. I’ll stop once in awhile, ask you to do “something” or stand a certain way, and I’ll snap some photos. You don’t need to be worried about what to do, how to smile, or how to stand — I have it covered!
After Your Portrait Session
When will you see your images?
Your images will be ready to view within 3 weeks of your session. I will post some of my favorites on my Facebook page. I will send you an email letting you know that your images are posted. I’ll also include a link to a gallery where all of your images will be posted. An additional email will be sent giving you more details on how to order your prints and products.
Are the Facebook images copyrighted?
Yes. All images that are posted online, whether it’s Facebook, my blog or website, or your online gallery, are all watermarked and copyrighted. I do give permission for you to use a photo for your profile picture, but please do not remove the watermark. Thank you!
When will my prints and products be ready?
Upon receiving payment, I will place the order for your prints and products. Your order will be available for pick up within 3 weeks of payment. Enjoy!
